A page with templates will usually open automatically, but otherwise, go to the upper left pane of your screen and click New. If you have already created a presentation, select Open, then double-click the icon to open the existing file. Image source. To do this, simply go to the Home tab and click New Slide. This inserts a new slide into your presentation right after the one you were on. You can also press Ctrl M on your keyboard to insert a new blank slide into PowerPoint.
